The Huawei B880 is soon going to be replaced by a brand-new model, the Huawei B882. This new release will have a few changes from its predecessor, so if you have been using the Huawei B880 for a while now and are thinking of switching to the new phone, here's what you need to know about these key differences. First off, the specs on both models remain fairly similar: it'll still have a 5-inch 720p touchscreen with 3D glass and an 8MP front camera. It’ll also run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 powered software layered on top of it all. There are a few key differences, though. The Huawei B882 will supposedly have a slightly better screen with a higher resolution of 1280 x 720. It’s going to be running on a MediaTek MTK6735 Quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is no microSD slot on either device. On the battery side, you’ll get the same 2,000 mAh battery as before as well as dual SIM card slots and single-band 2.4G Wi-Fi. In terms of the cameras, the rear facing camera is going to have an 8MP sensor this time around while keeping its 5MP secondary camera from before. The front facing camera is also staying the same, so you won’t be losing any features if you already have one of the older models. The Huawei B880 will be available in black, gold and white colors while the Huawei B882 will only be available in gray color. Both devices are expected to launch by early 2016, though at their current price tags, you might want to wait for them to become a little more affordable before buying one. Huawei has made a few other changes to improve the user experience. One of these changes is that there are no longer swiping gestures on any of their phones. Instead, Huawei offers three other ways to do things: touch, circle and long press. A touch or circle button will allow you to access the home screen, widgets, settings, camera and gallery. Long press is used for answering calls and sending text messages. The Huawei B880 will be available in black, gold and white colorways. Huawei's software user interface system has been criticized by reviewers for being difficult to use. This is because of its confusing visuals (for example, Huawei's phones feature a blue background on both the main home screen and the app drawer), the lack of transparency (which makes it difficult to know which apps are running in the background), and elements that are difficult to put into context (such as the tabbed interface). The user interface was updated with EMUI 5 (Android 7. 0 Nougat) which addresses many of these flaws. Source: http://www.mobiflip.net/huawei-b880-update-a13695959. cfa1e77820
